Celebrating DogtoberFest

This year’s 31st Annual DogtoberFest was a tail-wagging success! Hosted by Jackson County Parks & Rec, the event brought together hundreds of dogs, owners, rescues, and local businesses for a fun-filled day celebrating our furry family members. From costume contests and trick competitions to agility courses, photo booths, and vendor tents, there was no shortage of excitement.

DogtoberFest has become one of the area’s favorite fall traditions — and for good reason. It’s a day dedicated not only to fun and friendship but also to supporting local shelters and organizations that make a difference for animals in need. Lee’s Summit Subaru was proud to be part of the celebration and to share in the energy and enthusiasm of the pet-loving community.

Our Commitment: Subaru Loves Pets

DogtoberFest perfectly reflected the spirit of Subaru Loves Pets, one of the core pillars of the Subaru Love Promise. Through this initiative, Subaru retailers across the country work to support shelters, host adoption events, and promote animal welfare. Since its beginning, Subaru Loves Pets has helped connect thousands of dogs and cats with loving homes — especially senior, shelter, and special-needs pets who need a little extra help finding their families.

At Lee’s Summit Subaru, we’re passionate about continuing that mission locally. Partnering with community organizations like Midwest Animal ResQ, we’ve been able to raise awareness, collect much-needed supplies, and help bring people and pets together. Seeing so many happy faces — human and canine — at DogtoberFest reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Our Partnership & Participation

We were thrilled to partner with Jackson County Parks & Rec again for this year’s event and to bring a little extra Subaru fun to DogtoberFest. Our booth was buzzing all day as visitors stopped by to say hello and pick up Subaru swag for their dogs, including Chewbarus, doggy bags, leashes, and bandanas. It was heartwarming to see so many pets proudly sporting their new Subaru gear while exploring the event grounds.

Visitors also had the chance to enter a raffle for a chance to win a Lee’s Summit Subaru Compact Folding Wagon, perfect for hauling gear — or a tired pup — on your next outdoor adventure. Our team loved getting to connect with so many animal lovers throughout the day and share in the excitement of an event that celebrates everything we love about pets and community.

Looking Ahead

While this year’s DogtoberFest has wrapped up, the joy and energy of the event will stay with us until next year. We’re already looking forward to returning for another day of fun, fur, and friendship with our local pet community.

Even though this year’s event has passed, we’d love for you to join us at next year’s DogtoberFest and stay connected with us in the meantime.
