The Subaru Share the Love Event is one of Subaru’s most cherished traditions and a powerful extension of the Subaru Love Promise. Every year, from late November through early January, Subaru and its retailers dedicate the holiday season to giving back in a meaningful way. When customers purchase or lease a new Subaru during this event, Subaru donates to charity—putting the power of giving directly into the hands of customers. Buyers can choose from four national charity partners—the ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation—or support a hometown charity selected by their local retailer.

Since its launch in 2008, Subaru and its retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity, impacting thousands of organizations and millions of lives. National Impact
The Share the Love Event has made an extraordinary difference nationwide by supporting four core charity partners. Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA®, helping protect and care for more than 142,000 animals. Through its partnership with Make-A-Wish®, Subaru has helped grant over 3,900 life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses, making it the largest automotive donor in the organization’s history. Meals on Wheels America has also benefited greatly, with Subaru’s support contributing to nearly 5 million meals delivered to seniors in need. As the largest corporate partner of the National Park Foundation, Subaru has played a major role in protecting more than 400 national parks and supporting sustainability efforts.
The 2024 Share the Love Event marked a record year, with Subaru and its retailers raising $31.7 million—the highest single-year total in the program’s history. This brought the overall amount donated to nearly $320 million over 17 years. Of that total, more than $23 million went to over 830 hometown charities, ensuring that local communities received support alongside the national partners. Together, these efforts prove that when communities unite around giving, the impact is felt across the country.
Share The Love Event at Lee’s Summit Subaru
At Lee’s Summit Subaru, the Share the Love Event is one of the most meaningful times of the year. Our dealership is proud to support Hillcrest Transitional Housing, a local organization that helps families break the cycle of homelessness and rebuild their lives. In 2024, thanks to the incredible support of our customers and community, we donated more than $34,000 to Hillcrest, providing vital resources for families in need.
We also partnered with Meals on Wheels of Lee’s Summit to provide reusable tote bags for their annual emergency meal kits. These kits ensure that seniors and homebound neighbors continue to receive meals when winter weather makes regular deliveries impossible. Our team was honored to help transport the kits using Subaru vehicles and join volunteers and board members in distributing them to those who rely on this vital service. It was a true display of community spirit, showing how much can be accomplished when people come together for a common cause.
During the Share the Love Event, Subaru donates $250 to the charity of each customer’s choice—the ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America, or the National Park Foundation. On top of that, Lee’s Summit Subaru contributes an additional $75 to Hillcrest for every new Subaru purchased and $5 for every Subaru routine service visit during the event. These extra contributions ensure that our hometown charity continues to receive the support it needs year after year.
