The All-New 2022 Subaru BRZ

Technology is advancing at a rapid rate, and this means companies are pushing the limits to be at the top. Subaru is known for bringing us powerful vehicles that really set the bar high for competitors, and the brand is doing it again with the upcoming BRZ model.

In recent news, Subaru has announced that they are working on a new model. The new 2022 Subaru BRZ will be a sporty model that holds true to the Subaru DNA we have come to love over the years. Let's take a closer look at what the new 2022 Subaru BRZ will be all about and why we're excited about its launch.

What the 2022 Subaru BRZ Model Will Be Like

When Subaru launches a new model, one thing is for sure - we're all excited to see how it's going to look on the outside. While specifics are yet to be released, from what we've seen thus far the 2022 Subaru BRZ is going to be impressive.

Subaru has decided to go with a sporty look with the new 2022 BRZ model. The two-door coupe-style design complements the overall sporty aesthetic that the manufacturer decided to opt for with this new addition to the lineup.

On the inside, the 2022 Subaru BRZ will feature the Subaru Starlink Multimedia system. This is an advanced and modern smart system that lets you connect to Apple CarPlay, as well as Android Auto, with ease. A range of cloud-connected applications, including STARLINK and SiriusXM, will give you faster access to navigation, satellite radio, and other convenient functions. These include podcasts, the latest news, and even your favorite music tracks. The larger eight-inch touch display makes navigating through the menus easier than ever before.

A new Digital Instrument Cluster will be featured in the 2022 Subaru BRZ, which will help with navigating the road and adhering to the traffic laws. A G-Force meter uses adaptive modes that give you responses based on the environment, with both Track and Sport modes available.

What's Under the Hood?

It's not only the exterior and interior design of a vehicle that makes it worth the wait. It's always important to consider what's underneath its hood too. With the new 2020 Subaru BRZ, you'll be just as impressed as you are with the modern design.

It all starts with a redesigned engine. The SUBARU BOXER engine in this model will feature a 2.4-liter design with direct injection. The 228 horsepower of this engine will give you unmatched performance when compared to other vehicle models in this class, coupled with a 15% increase in torque. The result is a classic "growl" that people have come to enjoy from the Subaru brand, along with better acceleration and speed control, whether on a straight road or taking a corner.

The 2020 Subaru BRZ will feature a rear-wheel-drive layout, along with a front-mounted engine. Weight distribution is significantly enhanced in the new Subaru model, which helps to create an improvement in the car's overall performance. Balance is enhanced too, which makes this car an ideal option for the more serious driver.

The suspension on the 2022 Subaru BRZ uses a retuned design. The main idea was to use the MacPherson struts to test multiple suspension designs, ultimately deciding on a structure that would provide the most benefits to the driver. This resulted in a suspension that makes cornering with the 2022 Subaru BRZ faster, easier, and of course, safer. The rear track on the suspension now features a wider design, with dynamic improvements to the entire layout. The mounting points on the suspension are also reinforced, which provides enhanced durability.

While not technically an "under the hood" element, another thing we should note is the newly redesigned chassis in the 2022 Subaru BRZ. Torsional rigidity of the vehicle will provide a 50% improvement over previous models, with a center of gravity that's lower than ever before. Front lateral rigidity will also feature a 60% improvement.

Furthermore, the chassis features a lighter weight design, helping you improve acceleration and give you superior control on the track. The 13:5:1 steering ratio further adds to the control offered by this newcomer to the Subaru family, offering faster response and a more direct feel.

Safety is a Priority

Over the years, we've seen Subaru go the extra mile to assure the safety of their drivers. Now, with the upcoming 2022 Subaru BRZ, we'll be introduced to a whole new level of safety features in a passenger vehicle.

The first of many safety features is the inclusion of the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. This technology is coupled with the Pre-Collision Braking system and automatic braking technology that can effectively prevent accidents from happening.

Adaptive Cruise Control uses the latest in technology to help make your driving experience smoother while also giving you the right level of control. The STARLINK system adds additional security to the car. Enhanced Roadside Assistance helps you remain connected no matter where you are going. This function provides faster access to roadside assistance services when you need it most. The automatic collision notification also ensures appropriate authorities are notified in the case of a collision.

All of these features work together to help you gain access to services, such as medical attention or roadside assistance, faster.

The brakes on the new 2022 Subaru BRZ is stronger and provides a much faster response than what you experienced in previous models. The grip on these brakes is also stronger, which means stepping on the brakes even on wet surfaces will now be much safer and more effective.

Subaru has done it again - announcing a new sporty look that will feature a completely redesigned exterior and interior. Outside, the new 2022 Subaru BRZ will feature state-of-the-art and modern design elements, while under the hood, you get the superior performance that is based on the original Subaru DNA. The interior of the 2022 Subaru BRZ will also feature an updated look that will be complementary to the exterior design elements.
