A seamless cross between a passenger car and a sport utility vehicle crossover, the Subaru Outback for sale in Lee’s Summit exceeds expectations. Meeting and surpassing most driver’s needs, the Subaru Outback neglects nothing. Although the Subaru Outback has been around for a while, it continues to stand at the top of the pyramid in its class, and 2019 has brought in additional safety gear furthering the Subaru Outback’s appeal. 

Subaru has several features added for every Outback trim level ensuring that no Outback is left behind. The Base, Premium, Limited, and Touring all come standard with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and active lane control systems. The inclusion of these prior optional features as standard has increased the appeal of the Subaru Outback. 

A CVT that simulates the behavior of a conventional automatic keeps the basic flat-four and flat-six (optional) engines refined when driving in any situation. You get horsepower of 175 on the 2.5-liter flat-four, and the optional 3.6-liter flat -six delivers massive horsepower of 256 on the Limited and Touring trim levels. Providing satisfactory but not hair-raising power, the base engine is balanced by its impressive fuel economy. For drivers who regularly climb long grades, you will most likely want the optional flat-six. 

Offering a better ability to trundle down dirt roads more efficiently then some of its competitor crossover sport utility vehicles, namely the Ford Explorer and the Nissan Pathfinder, the Subaru Outback has a running ground clearance of 8.7 inches and all-wheel drive standard on all trim levels. In addition, the Subaru Outback also gives the driver extra confidence on winding roads and more stability at highway speeds because of its suspension and structure that is similar to a traditional sedan. 

The interior is nicely accented with logically placed controls and has adequate room for up to five passengers. Standard with all trims is the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment 6.5-inch touchscreen, while an 8.0-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation come standard on the Premium and higher trim levels.

New Design 

The 2019 Outback in Lee’s Summit has a more prominent, huskier face, accentuated with a new bumper design with lower and wider grille openings that favors the legendary Subaru hexagonal grille. LED daytime running lights of the distinctive “Konoji” variation have been redesigned for the Outback Subaru.

When the Subaru Outback is taken for a drive off the pavement, it is now better protected from mud and stones with a redesigned front cladding. The luxury class look is highlighted on the Limited trim level with a unique new high contrast wheel design. Limited and Touring trim levels both come standard with alloy wheels measuring 18 inches. The Premium and 2.5i Base trim levels come standard equipped with alloy wheels measuring 17 inches. 

Innovative Safety Technology

The Subaru Outback has further enhanced its already superior safety record with its numerous driver assist systems, including the Steering Responsive Headlights (SRH) that are brand new on the Subaru Outback. Offered alongside with the LED headlights, the Steering Responsive Headlights follow the drivers steering by aiming the beams into turns as you’re driving. High Beam Assist comes on both the Touring trim level and the Limited trim level in combination with the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The High Beam Assist functions to automatically operate the high beam lights in correspondence with traffic conditions.

Offered on most of the Subaru Outbacks trim levels, the Subaru-branded, award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology comes with a vehicle lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and pre-collision braking. When the driver exceeds 37 miles per hour the lane keep assist system activates, which is earlier than prior versions. Trim levels that include the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology come with lane change assist as well as rear cross traffic alert and blind spot detection.

Every 2019 Subaru Outback includes as standard a rearview camera. Providing more precise vehicle positioning, the guidelines on the display move in tune with the driver’s steering.

All four individual tires are monitored for pressure changes by the 2019 Subaru Outback’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Having been shifted from the surface of the mirror to the side of the mirror, the indicator lamp for the rear cross traffic alert system and the blind spot detection system is also larger than in prior versions. Now easier to see, the LED turn signals have been revamped on the higher trim levels. Installation of child safety seats is now easier with the improved LATCH anchors and there is a safer cab with new automatic locking doors.

The Subaru Outback now provides a smoother ride because of the enhancement of the retuned suspension dampers and provides an increased direct feel due to the retuned brake and steering systems, overall making your driving experience better than before. Driver input gets a more linear, smoother response because of enhancements made to the electric power steering (EPS).

Powertrain noise is now reduced because of alterations to engine timing under acceleration and the quieter short pitch chain that is used by the Lineartronic CVT in the 2.5i models. Further decreasing wind noise, the newly reshaped mirrors on the exterior are just one of the adjustments made for your passengers to get a quieter ride. Rear seat ambient noise is quieter due to the new thicker rear-wheel well aprons, and the front seat has further reduced noise due to the all-new front side windows sound insulating glass.

An adjusted and retuned electronic control unit (ECU) provides a smoother transmission response.
