We also stock all new models of Subaru, so it’s clear that for all things Subaru Kansas City has to offer, Lee’s Summit Subaru is the place to go.

Let’s take a look at just some of the vehicles you can test drive at our Subaru dealership in Kansas City.

2018 Subaru Crosstrek

The Crosstrek is Subaru’s third best-selling model. Priced at just $100 over the last generation at $21,795 and given its choices of trim levels, engines, transmissions, and safety features, it’s easy to see why the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek for sale in Lee’s Summit is turning heads.

With the 2018 model, the Crosstrek is available in three trim levels: 2.0i Base, Premium and Limited. The base level has a standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This 6-speed transmission is new for 2018 and is an improvement over last year’s 5-speed offering.

Also new for 2018 is the Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that is now available on the 2.0i base trim as well as the other trim levels. The CVT has paddle shifters and a 7-speed manual mode on the Premium and Limited trim levels. The paddle shifters allow control of the transmission via pre-set ratios. Subaru didn’t stop with the transmissions and has also revised the FB 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Boxer engine with direct fuel injection to boost performance from 148 to 152 HP.

With the new transmissions and engines, there is also good news on fuel economy. The new 6-speed manual transmission models have a fuel economy of 23 city and 29 highway for a combined 25 miles per gallon. The CVT-equipped models come in at 27 city and 33 highway for a 29 combined miles per gallon.

The 2018 Crosstrek combines an exciting new design and a super strong chassis with nearly nine inches of ground clearance for perfect driving in the city and off-road. The base Crosstrek 2.0i has new 17-inch alloys and a complete set of new performance features that come as standard such as raised Active Torque Vectoring and Stablex suspension. CVT models add Hill Descent Control and X-MODE for better performance in off-road conditions.

There are also improvements in the interiors, styling and in safety features as well. The 2018 Crosstrek has even higher levels of safety than last year’s IIHS’ TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ 2017 Crosstrek with the optional with EyeSight offering. In addition, the 2018 Crosstrek has improved crash energy absorption by up to 40 percent over past models.

The interior has also seen its share of changes with a new black simulated carbon fiber finish on the dash and on the front and rear door panels. Outside the new standard rear roof spoiler gets a gloss black finish and all trim levels come with roof rails and black side cladding.

2018 Subaru Forester

Newly arrived, the 2018 2.5i version of the Subaru Forester is powered by a 2.5-liter Boxer engine that produces 170 HP through its 4 cylinders. Four trims are available – the Touring, Limited, Premium, and Standard. The 2.0XT gives an engine boost with a 2-liter 250-HP Boxer.

In addition to the all-wheel drive, Subaru continues to update safety, durability, comfort, and drivability as its key features. The Forester’s well-known hexagon grill and bumper cover work well with the C-shape LED rear combination lights. Overall these features give clear visibility with a new, distinctive appearance.

The Premium trim features large 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic HVAC controls, Hill Descent Control, and a power moonroof, amongst other additions.

The Black Edition is the next level up and incorporates new paddle shifters for the manual transmission, 18-inch larger wheels, and black accents in the trim, badges, mirrors, and the wings on the grille. An all-weather package, welcome lighting, and a cargo tray in the rear are also standard on the Black Edition. The Black Edition is available paired to four exterior colors: Crystal White Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, and Dark Gray and Ice Silver Metallic. The black motif continues inside with cloth upholstery and a gloss finish on the dashboard. Complementing the black are silver and chrome highlights. Other features with the Black Edition include leather-trimmed upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 10-way power driver’s seat.

The next upgrade, the Limited, includes the safety features of Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and an alert for rear cross traffic. Light features include High Beam Assist, automatic height adjustment for high and low beams, LED responsive headlights, and Reverse Auto Braking.

The Touring, the top model of the Forester, maintains the 18-inch alloy wheels, and comes standard with a 10-way power driver’s seat, Keyless Access, a heated steering wheel, two-position driver’s seat memory, Active Torque Vectoring, High Beam Assist, Push-Button Start, Reverse Automatic Braking, side cladding with chrome and black trim, and is available in Saddle Brown or Black interiors.

2017 Subaru Outback

The trail-rated Outback has 8.7 inches of ground clearance and an excellent all-wheel drive with an ‘X-mode’ for excellence in off-road driving. Despite its ruggedness, the interior of the Subaru Outback is notably refined, with a particularly quiet cabin. Despite this refinement you’ll be pleased to see that the price of the Outback is significantly lower than competitors in its class.

You have four trim options and two engine choices in the 2017 Outback. The base engine is a 175-horsepower 6-cylinder, and the optional upgrade improves horsepower to 256 and offers 247 lb-ft of torque. Go for the Premium trim and you’ll get paddle shifters on the steering wheel. All Outbacks can tow 2,700 pounds, but the Premium can handle 3,000 pounds. For an all-round excellent vehicle that’s at home on the highway as it is traversing hills and valleys, consider the Subaru Outback for sale at our Kansas City Subaru dealership.
